The academic work "Black Mirror - Nosedive: The influence of mediatization on social practices" was configured in the importance of discussing the relations currently lived. With the advancement of technology and networks, this social interaction has reached the possibility of being produced and shared quickly. For that, it became relevant to analyze the episode Nosedive, from the series Black Mirror, where there is a representation of the morality involved in the search of the personal image. The speed and agility in the propagation of personal content brings the perspective of a society seen through mediatization. Thus, it became fundamental to focus on a theoretical reflection based on Zygmunt Bauman, on the relations and the way individuals behave today, and one based on the Digital Revolution and one of its consequences: personal mediatization. In order to understand the influence of mediatization, the concept of net modernity was related to the problematization presented in the episode Nosedive and with the emergence of the analysis of rankings of profiles in social media, as a consequence of this process. The context lived by the characters illustrates the use of networks in the social environment, establishing similarities between their behavior and that of real cases, observed in both Instagram and Facebook. The data collected through these social media brings an outcome in the relationships and behavior of society. In this way, their use causes the successive search for social acceptance, determined by the way the data shares are made. This information seeks to shape an image and a state (or status) that may appear to be real but that there is no confirmation of the personality of the individual. In view of this, a theoretical qualitative research of an exploratory nature was made. It was necessary to examine the image produced in social networks and to what circumstance it is taken, hiding or not the true essence of its profile. In this reflection, the analysis of the degree of appearance (or disguise) of an individual who is a digital influencer occurs. The exposure of the image and the influence of mediatization on social practices bring a new understanding of the perspectives linked to the image. Therefore, the understanding of the relationships in the episode aims to assimilate the way users are behaving in the network and, in the end, being consumers.pt_BR
