Abstract
O presente artigo aborda os temas diagnóstico estratégico e ciclo
de vida organizacional. O construto objetivou identificar a fase do ciclo
vital organizacional de três empresas familiares no DF a fim de elaborar
um diagnóstico estratégico. O contexto de pesquisa refere-se a empresas
familiares, ou seja, com um ou mais membros de uma mesma família em
sua constituição societária. Como insumo teórico, foram utilizadas as teorias
sobre ciclo de vida organizacional de Adizes (2004), as definições de
empresa familiar (Lodi, 1998; Oliveira, 1999). Trata-se de estudo de caso
descritivo, elaborado por meio de abordagem qualitativa. Os dados obtidos
por meio de entrevistas semiestruturadas com os gestores das empresas objetivaram
elencar algumas características das empresas e classificá-las quanto
à fase do ciclo vital organizacional, segundo modelo de Adizes. Dessa
classificação se permite ampliar as informações do diagnóstico estratégico
que são importantes para as organizações no norteamento da tomada de
decisão e da definição de estratégias atuais e futuras que as torne perenes
em seu mercado de atuação. Observou-se que as empresas estudadas estão
nas fases de crescimento, em alguns casos, torna-se perceptível a transição
entre duas fases, por exemplo, da adolescência para a plenitude.
This article discusses the diagnosis strategic issues and organizational life cycle. The construct aimed to identify the organizational phase of the vital cycle of three family businesses in Distrito Federal in order to develop a strategic diagnostic. The research context, therefore, are family businesses, ie with one or more members of a family in its corporate constitution. As a theoretical input we used the theories of organizational life cycle of Adizes (2004), family business settings (Lodi, 1998; Oliveira, 1999). It is a descriptive case study, results from a qualitative approach. The data obtained through semi-structured interviews with company managers, aimed to list some characteristics of firms and ranks them as the phase of the organizational life cycle, the second model of Adizes. This classification is allowed to expand the information of strategic diagnosis that are important for organizations in norteamento decision-making and the definition of current and future strategies that become perennial in its market. It was observed that companies are studied during the growth phases, in some cases, becomes noticeable transition between two phases, for example, from adolescence to fullness
